Latest Project at Sekula Sign

S&T Bank

In March of 2006 Sekula Sign Corporation began discussions regarding a new sign program for S&T Bank.  S&T Bank, a 3.2 billion dollar full service financial institution headquartered in Indiana, PA had started considering an exterior sign replacement program being a three year plan to convert a set number of branches with new signage each year.

After competitive bids were compiled and evaluated, a contract was awarded to Sekula Sign Corporation to design, fabricate, and install new signs at (53) branch locations.  However, instead of the three year time frame originally envisioned it was decided that the project would be completed within a (60) day period starting when final branch designs were approved.

Sekula Sign Corporation proceeded with detailed on-site surveys of each branch, which resulted in new sign recommendations supported by photos and detailed drawings of each sign.  The sign recommendations incorporated S&T Bank’s new logo style and corporate color scheme adopted to meet the needs of the various office sites and architecture as well as the requirements of the various community zoning laws.

Following approval of each branch’s signage, Sekula Sign Corporation proceeded with securing the necessary sign permits – a massive task given the large number of zoning areas and municipalities involved.  One-Call Underground clearances were scheduled, UCC inspections were arranged, engineer certifications were verified where necessary and variance proceedings were initiated where appropriate.

The new signs consist of a primary sign constructed using a unique router–cut aluminum face panel backed with acrylic.  An integrated support structure was designed to contain multiple auxiliary signs as well as Time & Temperature displays.  Directional signs, ATM signs, parking signs, and even office hour signs were designed to adhere to the S&T Bank corporate design standards.

All signs were manufactured in-house at Sekula Sign Corporation’s DuBois, PA facility.  A full line of state-of-the-art computerized sign manufacturing equipment and refined processes allowed Sekula Sign Corporation to meet the ambitious (60) day production/installation schedule, even though a number of other large projects were in various stages of production at the same time.

Mr. Rob Jorgenson, Vice-President of Marketing for S&T Bank and his assistant, Ms. April Shipley, established high standards from the very beginning of their project.  Foremost on their agenda was a quality sign product that provided value for S&T Bank.  Every sign was personally approved by Rob with many timely and perceptive suggestions throughout the design process.   Rob’s commitment to excellence and the clear direction he provided throughout the process insured the success of this very impressive sign program.

Everyone loves the new signs!  Comments regarding their crisp, uniform, and professional appearance have been very positive from S&T Bank and, most importantly, their customers.
